Find Perfect Keywords to Create Killer Web Content through Research Skills:
Suppose, you have a personal growth and skill development website and you have already published a number of blog posts. But, you won’t be able to get a response from your targeted audience. Where is wrong? It’s your lack of research. If you research well, give proper headlines, the audience will attract more than ever. Thus, here is the research strategy on how you find perfect keywords and create killer content for your site.
1. Choose possible keywords
As your primary niche is personal growth and development, you have to post the related post that matches the niche. Suppose you are now going to plan for creating content about some tips for making money online, you need to brainstorm to choose some possible keywords. For example, here are my primary chosen keywords:
Make money online
Ways to make money
How to make money fast
2. Determine the search volume and the level of competition
We choose five keywords phrase, now we have to know their search volume and competition level. We will use Google Keywords Planer to do it. Go to the Google Keywords Planner’s web link, input the above-selected keywords one by one and determine values. Additionally, you also can use other tools to keep your research data that is Microsoft Excel. Here I present our observation blew:
3. Discover other keyword ideas and check out them
Now we also discover some other related keywords by using Google Keywords planner tool or other tools. You will find a number of free tools on the internet such as Word tracker, WordStream, KWFinder, and more. Just search on google and you will find similar tools to generate keywords ideas easily.
After then, we will check then and listed them on an excel sheet. Look at the screenshots.
4. Analyze the popularity of top search queries on Google Trends
After gathering these keywords, you will have to select those keywords which have up to 1k search volume per month and has also the low or medium level of competition. If the search result has a high volume and the competition level has low, then there is a great chance to rank on the top of the search result. As a result, you can get more visitors to your website. You may see five keywords that have fulfilled your demand. But we will consider two of them that has some search volume but different competition level.
- Ways to make money from home -- (10K – 100K & Medium competition)
- How to make money on YouTube -- (10K – 100K & low competition)
Primarily you can select the second one because both of them have the same volume but the second one has low competition. Moreover, I will suggest doing more research. For this, you will analyze the two keywords on Google Trends and compare their graph. Google Trend will show you how the search queries change from time to time. Let’s have a look.
5. Select your final keywords
Take a deep breath, you are almost done. Now you have to select the most wanted keywords for your upcoming content. See the Excel sheet, you will easily understand what will be the result.
So, the phrase “How to make money on YouTube” will be the next blog eye-catchy keywords of your killer content.
6. Understand how people use your keywords to converse
You have selected the keyword and may think it works well to increase traffic on your website. But don’t stop here. Take a single step to understand your audience's language.
